FDA Warns of Increased Risks from taking Invokana

Beyond an increased risk of amputation, the FDA also issued another warning in 2016 about the potential for kidney injury caused by the drug. Excessive levels of acid build up in the body, leading to ketoacidosis, and can be life threatening if left untreated.
